In the forest, in the heart of the Landes, very close to the lake of Parentis/Biscarosse, the campsite «Les Échasses» welcomes you all the year round.

Ideal for families and people looking to get away from the hustle bustle of everyday life and be surrounded by nature. The closeness of the lake will delight every fisherman !

The campsite

70 holiday homes and 85 camping sites ( tents or caravans ) sit within approximately 10 acres of beautiful country side.

Our generously spaced pitches are well marked so that everyone has their own specified space within this calm and homelike place. Children will enjoy being able to have fun and play safely. In our summer season ( from 15/06 to 31/08 ) themed parties are organized for the parents.

The beach

You can easily reach the lake of Parentis/Biscarosse which is only five minutes away by foot. The beach of Gastes is supervised during the Summer months. It is equipped with showers and provides a nice playing area for children.

The nautical sports lovers will be thrilled with the water skiing, windsurfing and catamaran !

The lake is also an outstanding fishing reserve where roaches rub elbows with pikes and brown bullheads.

Gastes

Its authenticity offers the discreet charms which characterizes the Landes. You will find an original church, the St Quitterie fountain and other historical sites. The discovery of the surrounding nature is possible thanks to the numerous activities close to the campsite. Bicycle paths will allow you to escape inexpensively.

Make sure that you don't miss the market, every Tuesday during Summer.

Strolls through the woods, nautical leisure, bathing, relaxation : all of this is easily accessible.

Nearby

For those who prefer the wildness of the ocean and its waves, the beaches of Biscarosse and Mimizan are only 15 km away.

A little bit further along the coastline, about 40 minutes away, you will find the notorious Dune du Pila which offers a magnificent sight upon the Bassin d'Arcachon, the Banc d'Anguin and the Cap Ferret.
